How It All Began |
Clear Creek Beef is a young company with old roots.
We began as a small ranch run by two brothers and their young families. Over the past 25 years, we have grown to include a team of life-long military veteran friends who share in the dream of building a ranch in the American West. The brothers made a go of wholesaling bulk beef earlier on, but found it difficult to keep up with the demand! So the focus turned to growing the ranch and the herd to a size that could and that brings us to you today. With 25 years of experience in learning the craft of producing our high-quality beef, we are now able to turn our attention to getting it to you directly- so begins the next chapter of our story. |
The Place The Herd Calls Home |
Hells Canyon's Halfway, Oregon was the chosen location of the ranch due to its rich history of flowing water, lush green grass, and its historic place along the Oregon Trail. The herd summers in Halfway and winters in the warmer climes of the aptly named Richland, an emerald valley one mountain pass away where we grow and harvest our own feed throughout the summer months.

Our Breeding Program |
Since the outset, we've cultivated our herd by investing in and then breeding only the best in genetics with a focus on achieving a three-way vigor. Our herd is primarily grown internally, with our replacement heifers selected with great attention to genetics, physical traits and character. Our bulls are carefully selected and purchased from breeders who exhibit an equal level of care and expertise.

The Next Chapter Begins |
Over the years, we've primarily raised cattle and sold calves by contract and at auction. Now, though, we hold back some of our steers for direct beef sales, available at farmers markets in Idaho's Treasure Valley. If, however, you are looking for bulk beef in the greater Pacific Northwest, we are expanding our market in several directions- to include Portland, Salt Lake City and San Francisco.
We boast almost 2 acres of land per cow/calf pair and raise all of our animals in a peaceful, stress-free environment. |
The Inn |
The centerpiece of the ranch is the Inn at Clear Creek Farm, an inn as peaceful as it is remote, with beautiful views of Pine Valley and the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
